Xi’an-Yan’an High-Speed Railway (Xiyan HSR)
The Xi’an-Yan’an High-Speed Railway is a 300-kilometer rail line connecting Xi’an and Yan’an, designed for speeds of 350 km/h. As a key segment of China’s "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed rail network (specifically the Baotou-Yinchuan-Haikou Corridor), the route starts at Xi’an East Station and includes stations at Gaoling, Fuping South, Tongchuan, Tongchuan North, Yijun, Huangling West, Luochuan, Fu County North, Ganquan North, and Yan’an. Nine of these stations are newly constructed, with the line expected to open in 2025.
The Xiyan HSR is a critical component of the national Baotou-Yinchuan-Haikou HSR corridor. Together with the under-construction Xi’an-Chongqing HSR, it forms a major north-south transportation artery and a pivotal segment of Shaanxi Province’s "米"-shaped HSR network. Listed as a key project during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the line will reduce travel time between Xi’an and Yan’an from the current 2.5 hours to just 1 hour upon operation. Its completion will significantly advance the Western Development Strategy, accelerate the Baotou-Haikou HSR corridor, optimize the national HSR layout, and enhance Shaanxi’s regional connectivity and status as a national rail hub.

Gaoling Station, located in Gaoling District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, is an intermediate station along the Xi'an-Yan'an High-Speed Railway (Xiyan HSR). The station features a layout of 2 platforms and 4 tracks. Construction commenced in 2022, with operations expected to begin around 2025.

Tongchuan Station, located in Yaozhou District, Tongchuan City, Shaanxi Province, China, is 2 kilometers in a straight line from the center of Tongchuan City. It is a station on the Xiyan high-speed railway. The scale of the platform is 3 cars with 7 lines, the station area is 12,000 square meters, and there are two 8-meter-wide entrance and exit tunnels.

Tongchuan North Railway Station is located in Wangyi District, Tongchuan City, Shaanxi Province, 4 kilometers in a straight line from the center of Wangyi District. The total size of the station is 2 and 4 lines, with a basic platform and a side platform, and an 8-meter-wide tunnel in and out of the station.

Huangling West Railway Station is located in Huangling County, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province, adjacent to National Highway 210 and only 3 kilometers in a straight line from the county center of Huangling County. The station is equipped with a basic platform and 2 island platforms, and is equipped with convenient stairs, scalators and escalators.

Fuxian North Station, located in Fuxian County, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province, is a new railway station from Xi'an to Yan'an, about 6 kilometers from the center of the county. The scale of the station is 2 units and 4 lines, with an area of 3,000 square meters and a maximum of 600 people. It is expected to be completed in June 2025.

Ganquan North Station, located in Ganquan County, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province, China, is a fourth-class station under the jurisdiction of the Yan'an Vehicle Section of China Railway Xi'an Bureau Group Co., Ltd. It is located on the Baoxi Railway. The station and its up and down sections have been electrified. After the completion of the renovation and expansion, the scale of the platform of Ganquan North Station will be expanded from the original 2 cars and 6 lines to 4 cars and 10 lines, which are 2 cars and 4 lines in the high-speed field and 2 cars and 6 lines in the general speed field.
